about

Conceptually, "Sweet Tooth" not only explores but distorts, debases, and perverts the concept of a “pop” album (the sounds, the aesthetics, the energy) but through the unique Fuzzysurf filter only this band could pull off. While writing and planning this collection of songs, the band set out to create a syrupy, saccharine “pop” album which was still geared for the “anti-pop” among us. We wanted to poke fun at the increasing importance of image and controversy over substance in the modern music industry and social media while still putting out a genuine and timeless musical statement. In contrast to the visual aesthetics we portray with the album and accompanying music videos, the music on the album still showcases our unique style with catchy melodies, tight arrangements, and the tongue-in-cheek attitude we’re known for while still showing growth on our musicality and satirical lyrical content.

The songs of "Sweet Tooth" showcase Fuzzysurf's unique brand of indie surf pop/indie rock with honest vocals, jangly guitars, bouncy countermelody keyboards, R&B/Soul inspired basslines, and “in the pocket” drums.
